Climate Solutions Week 2026
Sept. 26–Oct. 4
We’re lighting up Missoula with a week of connection, creativity & climate action during Missoula's fourth-annual Climate Solutions Week! Hum along as we explore the bright solutions showing us a way forward on climate. With over 15 events, there's something for everyone. Check out the full lineup.

Excited and want to help?
We need volunteers to hang posters and put up yard signs ahead of the week, and we'll need a few volunteers for event support during ClimateFEST on September 26th and Climate Ride on October 4th. (And possibly other Climate Solutions Week events as well.)

Seasonal Opportunities for 2026 & Beyond
Spring
Resilient Homes Tour
  • Have you electrified your home? Think installation of solar, heat pumps, induction stoves, etc. Would you like to help others learn about the process? In May, volunteer your home and time for our Resilient Homes tour or join as a tour participant! Email Shanti to volunteer or learn more here.
​Run for the Trees
  • Support our urban forest by running a 5K, 10K, or 1-mile fun run at Run for the Trees each April. All participants receive a free tree seedling!

  • Each Spring and Fall we host volunteer days to plant trees around Missoula. Get your hands dirty and help increase our tree canopy. Learn more and sign up to volunteer at Trees for Missoula.
Summer
Wildfire Smoke Ready Week
  • ​Each summer we connect our community with resources to stay healthy during wildfire smoke season. Email Amy to volunteer for tabling at events during this week.
​​​Tree Ambassadors
  • Tree ambassadors support our urban forest by watering trees, educating neighborhood residents about tree care, and advocating for urban trees as opportunities arise. Learn more and sign up at Trees for Missoula.
Fall
ClimateFEST and Climate Solutions Week 
  • Join us for our annual ClimateFEST and Climate Solutions week at the end of September. Volunteer at our annual fest or attend one of our 20+ events! Learn more and get involved here.

Running up for Air (RUFA)
  • Support clean air by participating in the Running Up for Air endurance challenge on Mt. Sentinel in February. Learn more here and register here.
Tree Pruning
  • Learn how to prune small trees! Join us January - March for pruning workshops and/or help prune public trees through our Volunteers in Pruning program. Learn more here.
