Earth Day 2020

Earth Day - April 22 - during COVID-19

April is usually one of our favorites - it's "Earth Month" with celebrations and action opportunities before, during and after April 22.  COVID-19 prevents us from gathering in person to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, but we're offering safe ways to engage.  Join us from home with ART 4 ALL and a creative response.
The Missoula community had additional offerings, including an Earth Day pledge and 4-22 virtual rally.  Join in at missoulaearthday.org

EARTH DAY ART 4 ALL
Healthy People, Healthy Community, Healthy Planet:
We're All in This Together
VISIT OUR VIRTUAL ART SHOW TODAY!
Calling all creative types, youth, elders, parents, people of all ages who've never created art, and people who have - JOIN US for a community-wide art project!

It's not too late to join!

  1. Make a banner, window art, or sidewalk chalk drawing -- anything for your home, apartment or lawn that speaks to Earth Day.  Add words and images if you like. Include a drawing of our planet or simply the words "Earth Day".

The theme is broad: anything to do with building a healthy, just and livable future for all. We love color and creativity. Or simplicity. Maybe all you have is an old sheet and duct tape. Or paper and markers. Or sidewalk chalk with your kids.

  2. Share the love!
Email a photo of your art to alli@climatesmartmissoula.org and join our virtual community art show.

And if you're on social media, post your photo with the hashtag #MissoulaEarthDay.

It has been wonderful to see around all our neighborhoods, a celebration of our earth and building a healthy planet for all.  Co-sponsored with our friends at Families for a Livable Climate!
