    • 2020 Year End Letter

2020 has been quite a year...

This year has been a tough one, but as 2020 comes to a close we're seeking out the silver linings and feeling grateful for our community and all those who make our work possible.  Join us (virtually) to rekindle light and collective resolve for the year ahead.

SCROLL DOWN FOR HOW TO OFFER YOUR NEW YEAR'S HOPE & RESOLVE...

Thanks for joining us for the virtual version of our Year 5 Celebration on December 10
It was the most fun we've had on Zoom, not least because we got to present our famous Smarty Pants awards to 4 well-deserving Missoulians:

  • Tom Javins: Catalyst of Change
  • Ethel MacDonald: Masters in the Fine Art of Community Building and Bicycle Riding
  • Andrew Valainis: JD in Solar Savvy & Advocacy
  • Laurie Yung: Doctorate of Dedication

You can read about each winner via this Sustainable Missoula column: Finding the Silver Lining in a difficult year.
And Imagine Nation Brewing sold out of
Silver Linings beer. Thank you, and thanks to the INB team!

Please consider supporting our work today so that we can keep pushing forward in 2021 with our ambitious goals for climate action. Thanks to a couple of very generous supporters, all donations through the end of the year will be matched, and all NEW donors can take advantage of a TRIPLE match! Thank you!!

New Year & Winter Solstice Resolutions:
Rekindling our Commitment to a Brighter Future

With Families for a Livable Climate we're gathering climate resolutions. 2020 has been a difficult year. Yet hope prevails and now through the end of 2020, we rekindle our commitment to building a brighter future by sharing our Climate Resolutions for 2021.

How to Participate:

Share your Climate Resolutions for 202 with our community. What are your hopes for our communities in the year ahead, and how do you want to take action and be part of the solutions?

You can still create art and share with your own family or bubble. Create an Earth-shaped lantern for New Year's Eve
A great project for kids and adults alike - make an earth-shaped lantern. Check out these sites to inspire you - here, here + here.

Ideas, photos, videos and resolutions are all welcome - share with via Families for a Livable Climate's website.
