4PM - Resilience Training & Community Meal: If you’ve experienced anxiety, grief, or difficult emotions related to our changing climate, you’re not alone. The good news? Monday, September 28

  • 9AM - 10AM - Climate Smart Missoula Open House: Start you morning with a coffee and pastry while touring our "Little House" office space. We have solar, a mini split heat pump and we're working on a native plant garden. Drop in anytime! Details to come.

  • 12PM - Garden Tour & Seed Ball Workshop: The Montana Natural History Center invites you to tour their garden to learn tips for attracting pollinators, the impact of climate on native habitats, and how you can help. Details to come.

  • 6PM - Planting Resilience: Tour and Panel Discussion: Join the Missoula Public Library for a tour of their new green roof (starting construction this fall) and an engaging discussion around all the benefits it will provide. Details to come.

  • TBD - Creekside & Coffee: Tour Homeword's Creekside property to see the myriad improvements they've made to help residents stay healthy and comfortable while lowering energy use. Stay for a roundtable discussion focused on the intersection of housing and climate solutions. Details to come.​

  • 6PM - 7:30PM - DIY Home Improvements Workshop: Join buildings expert Lagan Todd, of Elkhorn Commissioning, and Callye Foster with the Home Upgrade Hub for this interactive workshop that offers hands-on demos and practical guidance to improve your home envelope, boost energy efficiency and save energy. Details to come.

  • 6PM - 8PM - Butterfly House & Insectarium Roosting Hours: This adult-only event lets you explore the Missoula Butterfly House & Insectarium after-hours. Enjoy beverages donated by Draught Works, while learning more about the impacts of climate on our insect friends and how visiting this favorite local attraction helps protect the rainforest.   • 6PM - 10PM - Climate Chaos Carnivale and Variety Show: You won't want to miss this epic event at Free Cycles, curated by Craig Menteer and the Zoo City Crooners. Stay tuned for more.

Climate Ride

Conclude the week with a community bike ride to support local climate action!

There are route options from beginner to advanced, plus a family-friend Climate Protector Ride. Free to participate.
