Sixth annual RUFA Mt Sentinel - February 6 & 7, 2026
|
THANKS for joining us for the annual, wild and iconic Running Up For Air challenge! As part of the Up For Air Series, RUFA Mt. Sentinel is a 3-, 6-, 12-, or 24-hour winter endurance challenge on Mt. Sentinel, the iconic mountain on the edge of Missoula.
What a FANTASTIC day and night - a huge success. We had a ton of fun and collectively we raised over $30,000 for our clean air and climate solutions efforts Almost 200 athletes joined RUFA this year, and our cohort of participants and volunteers collectively 944 trips up to the top of Mt. Sentinel. Those 944 trips added up to over 1.79 MILLION vertical feet of climbing! The Climate Smart Team of Amy, Abby, Shanti and Susan collectively completed 17 laps! Each of those laps was matched with a $6 donation thanks to our awesome sponsors: Sapphire Physical Therapy, Runner's Edge, The Rut Mountain Runs, DJ&A, Hillary Ogg Real Estate, and the Good Food Store. Race Directors Jeff Mogavero, Mike Foote and Adam Peterman volunteer to put this event on every year. This event could not happen without our amazing volunteers. They hauled supplies to the summit, set up the base area, flipped burgers all night, served pancakes all day, fixed blisters, and filled water bottles for hours. THANK YOU to our incredible volunteers. Check out the 2026 results and Anastasia's awesome photos. Check out these fun videos: |
