We LOVE Climate Solutions

We have an abundance of love for this wonderful planet we call home!

Though the ecosystems we depend on are in danger due to human-caused climate change, humans also have the power to turn dystopian projections into livable, happy endings.

If we put our collective capacity behind the numerous solutions we have to reduce pollution and clean up our air, water and soil, we can have a future where we're in a healthy, symbiotic relationship with Earth, reciprocating her care and protection.

So this month, in honor of love and Valentine's Day, we're excited to champion some of our favorite climate solutions in our mini rom-com series!

1. Compost Crush

Methane gas is far more potent at warming the planet than CO2 in the short term; in order to stay below catastrophic warming, we must cut methane emissions drastically. One of the biggest sources of methane on earth? Waste.

Let's take a look at how composting banana peels and coffee grounds can also benefit your love life.
Watch Episode 1: Compost Crush.

2. Induction Infatuation

Another major source of methane? The use of gas-powered appliances in our homes and buildings. Swapping that furnace for a heat pump, investing an electric lawn mower, and upgrading your range to an all-electric induction model are just a few ways you can boost air quality indoors and out.

Plus, going all electric is extremely attractive. Watch and learn in Episode 2: Induction Infatuation.

3. Reunion Ride

Transportation is the number one source of emissions in the Missoula Valley. While we need cars, planes and trains sometimes, more often than not, we have better modes of travel available to meet our daily needs.

Slow down to smell the roses and reconnect with this family-love focused short. Watch Episode 3: Reunion Ride.

4. Route 2 Romance

We love riding the bus, not having to navigate traffic and letting someone else drive; it's even better when our local transit system is committed to going all electric by 2035!

Hop on one of Mountain Line's zero-emissions buses to see just where this route might lead. Watch Episode 4: Route 2 Romance.

5. Solar Love

"We live on a planet where the easiest, cheapest way to make power is to point a sheet of glass at the sun." - Bill McKibben

Sometimes the best anniversary presents don't just celebrate the past, they invest in the future.

Watch our final episode of Season 1: Solar Love.

What are your favorite climate solutions? Drop us a comment and let us know! You just might inspire Season 2.

Much love to all the climate champions out there - from the bikers to the bakers,
