Celebrating 24 highlights for 2024!
24. Hosted Missoula's second-annual Climate Solutions Week, with 15+ events and 1 out of every 100 Missoulians engaged. |
23. Launched our Spring Shift series, with workshops and events on going solar, tree care and electrification.
22. 129 community members turned out for our 4th-annual Running Up for Air event, running or hiking up Mt. Sentinel to help raise $20,000 for our Clean Air efforts. |
21. The long anticipated "1-stop-shop" hired two staff members to launch its inaugural office based out of the Missoula County extension building. This office will offer in-depth resources to support healthy, resilient homes, including going electric!
20. Participated in the Neighborways Project rally and planning efforts as part of Common Good Missoula.
19. Our Footprint Fund program brought together Homeword, Climate Ride and the Roots Festival to fix the solar inverters at Orchard Gardens, an affordable housing complex in Missoula.

18. Amy and Abby attended the Mountain Towns Conference, alongside representatives from the City and County, to discuss and share climate action strategies happening in communities similar to ours.
17. Climate Smart Missoula joined litigation alongside 40 other Montana organization to require the Public Service Commission to consider climate change in their process.
15. Hosted 29 community events connecting Missoulians to local climate actions!
14. Coordinated and / or penned 30 Climate Connections Columns in the Missoula Current, reaching a broad audience to de-silo climate.
10. We supported two summer interns and are now hosting a social work practicum student focusing on the intersection of her work and climate change.
9. Trees for Missoula rose the occasion after the July 24th windstorm, offering resources around clean up, safety, tree care and replanting. (Support our Trees for Missoula program.)
7. Climate Smart Missoula, the City and County created and released Missoula's first-ever Extreme Heat Action Plan!
5. Secured funding to support expanding our Trees for Missoula program through the Department of Natural Resources via the Inflation Reduction Act.
2. Amy took a well-deserved sabbatical to explore the wilds of Patagonia. Self care is critical to keeping our momentum!
